The Jack Petchey Foundation
The Edmonton Eagles ABC were first introduced to the Jack Petchey Foundation in the Spring of 2006 when it implemented the Foundation’s Achievement and Leader Awards. These awards have had an incredible effect giving opportunity to recognise the effort, endeavour and achievement of the young people of the club in a practical and positive way, as well as providing an important source of funding for the club. Winners do not have to be the best at sport, but they must have contributed to the club in a significant way. Equally, Achievement Award Winners can be recognised for personal developments and for being a positive example to the other young people.
Head Coach Dr. Costakis C. Evangelou states, “We appreciate and value the tremendous support we have received from the Jack Petchey Foundation and they are a very important partner is our work. Their support has allowed the club to continue and enhance its important work amongst young people, helping to bring positive change to their lives and to their communities.”
